House Rules
The " House Rules " everybody has them. Please read, print and follow the rules, it makes us all happier.
- Check-In time is after 3:00 p.m. PST andCheck-Out time is 11:00 a.m.. No early Check-Ins, or Late Check-Outs
- This is a Non-Smoking Home. Smoking is permitted outside. Please dispose of all smoking debris in the garbage cans provided prior to Check-Out..
- Pets are not permitted in this home at any time. Guests who bring a pet will forfeit there security deposit, and may be evicted from the property.
- We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age of 25 years unless accompanied by adult guardian or parent.
- Damage/Reservation Deposit: A Damage/Reservation Deposit of $250.00 is required and must be received within ten (10) days of booking the reservation to confirm your stay. The deposit automatically converts to a Security/Damage Deposit upon your arrival. The deposit is not applied toward rent, however, it is fully refundable within 14 days of departure, provided the following provisions have been met:
- a. No damage is done to the home or it's contents, beyond normal wear and tear. Upon arrival, if you notice anything in the home that is broken, missing or needs attention, please bring it to our attention immediately.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish, and discards are placed in the provided garbage cans, all soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned, all soiled laundry is to be taken to the laundry room prior to leaving. d. All keys are returned to the Key Lock Box. e. No linens are lost or damaged. f. The Renter is not evicted by the Owner, the Owner's Representative or Law Enforcement. - Payment: An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required prior to confirming your reservation. The advance 50% of the rental rate will be applied toward the home rent. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The balance of the rent is due thirty days prior to arrival.
- Maximum Occupancy: the maximum occupancy of guests is ten (10) people. Renters who exceed the occupancy limit and/or falsify occupancy information at the time of reservation are subject to eviction.
- House Parties are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
- Illegal Substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
- Inclusive fees: home rental.
- No daily maid service: While linens and bath towel are included in the rental rate, daily maid service is not included. Daily maid service is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not allow any linens or towels to leave the property.
- Rate Changes: rates are subject to change without notice.
- Falsified Reservations: any reservation obtained under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advanced payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be allowed to Check-In.
- Storm Policy: no refunds will be given for storms. Roads are well maintained however, we recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. We also recommend contacting the
California Highway Patrol
and/or
weather agencies
for road conditions.
- Parking: Parking is limited to six vehicles.Vehicles may be parked in the garage and/or in the driveways. Parking on the road is prohibited. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing with fines and towing being the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
- OBEY THE 10 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON SHASTA RANCH ROAD.
- Respect our neighbor's properties and privacy: trespassing is prohibited and punishable by law. Do not trespass our neighbor's pond. Enjoy our neighbor's animals from our property - not only will you be trespassing to get near them, you may be injured by them.
- KEEP ALL NOISE LEVELS DOWN AFTER 7:00 P.M..
- NO CAMPFIRES OR FIREWORKS! IT'S AGAINST THE LAW. YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED.
- ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. Stairs, decks, and stream can kill.We encourage you to lock the stair gate at the top of the stairs with the key provided.
- Respect our septic system. Please no sanitary napkins, tampons, diapers, paper towels, etc.,in the toilets.
- NO SKI, BOARDING, SHOEING BOOTS AND EQUIPMENT, GOLF SHOES AND
EQUIPMENT, ETC., IN THE HOUSE AT ANY TIME. Use the garage to gear up/down and for storage.- Telephone Service is local and emergency use only.
- Owner or Owner's Agent may enter the premises immediately in the event of an emergency, in order to preform necessary repairs and / or maintenance.
- Any Exceptions to the "House Rules" as written here, must be approved in writing in advance.
- Rates and "House Rules" are subject to change without notice.

Departure Instructions: (Cliff Notes Version of the Above.)
- All trash, kitchen, waste baskets, ect. is placed
in garbage cans in the garage. - All dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
- All laundry, bed sheets, linens, towels, ect. are
taken to the laundry room. - Please start one load of towels prior to your departure.
- If you move the furniture, please return it to its
original location.(This is a biggie.) This also applies to toys, games, books, videos, ect. - Turn the gas fireplace off, turn the heat down
to 55° in the winter, turn the AC. up to 85° in the summer. - Lock all doors.
- Return keys to the lock box. Push center screw down
to reset keypad. Open box as you did upon your arrival, place keys in the box and release the lock button. Not following these departure instructions will incur additional fees. (minimum $ 50.00)
