What no Sled?
The local hardware stores, Ramshaw Ace Hardware and Mt. Shasta Do-it-Best Hardware keep a supply on hand through the winter months.
Planning ahead?
Try these latest snow toys. They will most likely add some excitement to your kid's sledding adventures at Snowman's Hill.
Family sledding doesn't stop at Snowman's Hill. Another local area is Bunny Flat. The snow will be deeper with more undisturbed snow.

You will probably need to carve out your own sledding run. Remember your first run will blaze the path for the following riders.
To gain momentum and ride speed, try "flopping". Flopping is done by running up to the tube or sled and jumping onto it.
Need a tube, try Les Schwab Tire Center, one of the local tire shops. Ask for a big tractor tube. Be careful and have fun.
Where do We Stay?
Snowman's Hill is located at the summit of Hwy 89 between Mt. Shasta and McCloud. Bunny Flat is located at the top of Everitt Memorial Hwy on Mt. Shasta. Both of these sledding areas are just 15 mins. from Shasta Ranch Lodge.
After a exhausting day of sledding, a short drive to the lodge will be appreciated. Settling down in front of the fireplace will take the chill off.
After thawing out, load your camera into the T.V., and have a good laugh viewing your sledding adventures.
